Norwich Knights 2	6:19	Invicta Sharks

After a run of nearly 19 months unbeaten, Norwich Knights 2 succumbed to their second consecutive defeat of the SERL season and their third on the bounce. After a season coated in success last time round, Knights second string appear to be bearing the brunt of the mini-exodus of top-end players in the offseason.

With several first team regular players from last season no longer at the club, a number of regular second teamers have been forced to step up, in particular last season's top goalscorer, Jimmy Seymour. Coupled with the ongoing absence of this season's top goalscorer, Knights 2 were always going to be facing an uphill battle against a side who not so long ago used to dominate English Korfball at a national level.

Although it is early days, the defeat leaves Knights 2 at the bottom of the South East Regional League and the early indication is that they will certainly struggle to repeat the title-winning exploits of their 2008-2009 Midlands Regional League campaign.
